Help with brake disks required

Anyone out there with any suggestions on best way to remove severely corroded disks from an MGF. Have had to drill out the retaining screws and despite much thumping with my mash hammer can't get the flipping disks to move! Suggestions welcome!
Cheers

There are I think two screws on each disk.

I think you can put 8mm bolts through the threaded holes on the disk to force it off on a number of modern cars.

Other wise just hit it harder

I've bene therea few times Graeme/ Its just a case of smashing the disk from behind with a big metal hammer (you are not going to use the disk again). Turn wheel a 1/4 and bash and repeat. It shoud come off eventually. You need to get it up quite high so you can get a good swing at the disk without hititng anything important!!

Think that is the problem, can't get the car up high enough to really give it some wellie! I have never had so much trouble with a disk before though. May have to go to garage with this one!

Hey G.......do you want some larger discs and AP Lockheed calipers off of our finally returned Tangerine?????????

Better still KTB say's you could just have the whole car as it is one big crock of *x!t

MG, despite making promises that the car would be better than a new one, and would have loads of quality control checks done has come back in a better state than when it went away before Xmas but not by much.

(See pictures)

We are now dealing with the franchise again and their MD is liasing direct with MG now to get the matter resolved.

Nearside wing front bolt Paint brush application me thinks?????

Nearside wing middle bolt

Underside of bonnet

Hardly any paint (Dark area on inside edge)there are also similar dark lines right across the bottom of the panel above the rear bumper and at the rear of the drivers door handle.

Image

Paint match issues (Roof and door handle are 2 different colours to the rest of the panels)

Image

We are asking for a brand new car and the franchise dealer is hopefully going to be supporting that request.

The problem seems to be with the quality system and the application of this Pearlescent paint within the painting facility at Longbridge. We have seen examples of other coloured LE500's and they seem to be fine compared with our Vibrant Orange car and the Crystal White model (These are the only 2 pearl paint colours available).

As far as we are concerned there are only 2 options available:

1. A brand new car
2. A full refund

Sadly our faith in the Octagon brand has taken a severe knock since the re-launch of the MGTF last year, it would be interesting to hear if anyone else has had similar problems with the new cars.

Time will tell, watch this space.
