Le Mans Classic 2010
The date for the Le Mans Classic is now confirmed as 9th - 11th July 2010. Last year, myself & Chris S went in my MGB and Geoff & Claudine in the V8. It was a great event and I am hoping to go again this year. There are options but I would suggest exactly what we did last year which is as follows:
Leave Aberdeen at around 7am THursday morning, arrive Hull around 14:00 to catch the ferry, scheduled to leave around 1730 (from memory). Then arrive in Zeebrugge at around 8am Friday morning. Arrive at the Circuit camp site around 15:00, you can leave on the Sunday or Monday but I would stay till the Monday, its less rushing around on the Sunday and you can have a big night on Saturday and veg sunday night before driving all the way back.
There will probably be a ferry from Rosythe but it is normally very expensive, also you could go on the Dover ferry but its so far down, I would rather spend the time drinking in the bar on the ferry!
I would highly suggest booking though the MGOC travel club as they were excellent last year, staying at their camp site with the TVR and Porsche clubs, the site had clean showers and toilets as well as hot water and being right on the circit.
Anyway, just trying to gauge interest at this stage to see if we want to try do a club run or just as individuals.
