Website Updates

I thought I would open a thread so I can post any recent website changes.

Tonight:

I have completed the first few photo galleries and and set up some categories of gallery. I did have 76 pictures last ngiht in the Alford gallery. I have to do some manual editing of the html language to embed the gallery into the site, and with 76 pics, it was getting silly, so i reduced it to only MG cars.. It would be nice to keep each gallery to a maximum of say 20 or 30 pictures (for my own sanity if anything).

I have also updated the merchandise section to incorporate the available colours/sizes etc, with pictures.

As always, suggestions welcome.

Re: Website Updates

Tidied up a few glitches (mainly my bad typing) tonight.

Added the Stonehaven pic to the bottom of the home page (I think its such a great pic).

Also tidied up links page, and inserted a link to MG-Rover forum.

Please feel free to send more useful links

Also added gallery specific email address to send pictures to for gallery.

Feel free to send pictures for gallery too.

Does anyone think it would be a good idea to split the 2007 events page into sperate pages for each event, rather than having to scroll through them all? If so, I will do that this week.

Cheers

I have noticed that when switching between pages, the web page can "jump" to the side.

And the index page doesn't fit in its "box". This is because the image at the bottom is too wide

I will try and sort these issues out tonight.

Re: Website Updates

I have split the links into specific sections.

Stopped the page jumping phenomenon.

I have decided to set up a space on the web site for hosting peoples photos , should you wish to post them in here.

We have a rediculous amount of space left at the moment, and it will not interrupt the site in the slightest.

I have been informed that not everyone has , or perhaps even wishes to have, photobucket, or flickr, or other photo hosting accounts.

This way, anyone not having any of these accounts can send their photos to me (or use the gallery email address to be found on the website on the contacts page). Just let me know its for the forum and not the website.

I wil then send back the link to each photo, which members can then use in here by pasting that link after clicking on the "Insert Image" button above.

HAve also set up a Members Only space for the website. For this you will need to knwo the username and password. Any ideas what we can put in there?
