Could just be a Southern softie! Or protecting his brain from the searing heat of the sun which we always suffer on the Aberdeen MGOC event!?!

I might lend a gazeebo hand this time. I now have my own, whcih I set up last week as my "paintshop" whilst I work on a bespoke front bumper for my car.

Only thing is its not very expensive and doesnt like the wind Not ideal when I live on top of a hill a few minutes form the North Sea emoticon

So at least I kind of know how to build them now

Yes it does but most of the thanks must go to the good Dr who did the editing for it! Here's hoping that all the advertising works!

Could someone bring one to the next meeting so I can see it.

I was thinking about making up some A5 sized posters and just sticking them where I can at work. There's a good few thousand people work here, so It cant do any harm. Where else can we advertise (other than radio etc)

We can bombard any MG related forum/web site in the UK with details (and of course the other marques too)

Does anyone know how much a local TV add would be . I assume it would be thousands?

Also, for a non-MG audience, I guess we should alter the advert to include other marques etc, to bring in the punters?

No we have to keep it to MG/Triumph/TVR at this time. What we have to remember is the insurance issue, MGOC cover us and the other marques have thier own for the use of the Alford site. There is also the issue of track use as well! Sadly H&S limits what we can do. So we will just have to concentrate on the MG owners at this time and let the others work on thier own members.

Fair point. Its just that if I saw an advert for , say a Triumph owners club show, I would probably not go. If I knew it had different British sports cars, I would definately, so potentially alienating lots of people.

Unless it is posisble to only let our "usual" cars enter cars (we could make this clear on website which cars can attend), but inform the "public" that other cars will be there too?
